Jängänlaita is Tapio's log cabin beyond Jänkälä village, 14 km north of Johkula centre. The cabin has 38 m², a living room with a double bed and a bunk bed, a wood stove, a gas cooker and a wood-heated sauna.
Solar panels power the lights and phone charging. Water is carried from the cabin's own well, and there is a dry toilet in the yard. The nearest light is in the village two kilometres away, so in winter you see the northern lights from the yard. The road is ploughed all the way. Pets are welcome.
Prices and stays
The price is for the whole cabin for up to four guests. Nightly rates by season: shoulder season 75 €, summer 95 €, autumn colours 105 €, winter 115 € and peak season 150 €. Minimum stay 2 nights, 3 nights in peak season. Final cleaning (70 €) is included in every booking. You can add bed linen and a pet.
Arrival
Check-in from 4 pm, check-out by 12 noon. The key is in a key box by the door, and we send the code two days before arrival. Head torches and water canisters are ready at the cabin. No smoking.
